Economic Permanent Residency

Since January 1, 2025, the minimum investment for Economic Permanent Residency is US$1,000,000, up from US$750,000. Purchases of US$1,500,000 or more can qualify for accelerated processing.

Home Owner resident card

Owners of a habitable Bahamian home with a recorded conveyance and paid property tax can apply for an annual, renewable Home Owner resident card.

What to confirm first

Residency is granted by the Bahamian government, not by a purchase. Ask your attorney which route fits your plans, what documents are needed and how long approval takes, before you commit to a price threshold.
